Good Parenting

1. Do you allow your kid to sleep late at night?

2. Do you allow your kids to move around in your motion car?

3. Do you allow your kids to roam around the restaurant once they have finished their food?

Am I a bad parent if I have answered yes to all 3 questions? Am I considered a good parent if I have answered no instead? I remember my parents were very strict to me when I was growing up. Looking back, I must admit I wasn't easy to manage in the first place. But then again, I was just being a kid. A kid doesn't have to worry about consequences. I just wanted my way in everything. Now how does a parent manage such a kid? Now you can prepare for the arrival of your baby by reading books. However, no books can teach you how to reason with your kids. I told myself I would be a nice parent before John was born. I didn't want John to experience the same childhood as mine. But I realized this is nearly impossible now. It is time to put my feet down and no more mr. nice guy. In doing so, I have become like my parents.

So, what is my best inspiration for being a good parent? My very own childhood.

Life’s a bitch sometimes

I hate it when I have to pick up other people slack.
I hate it when I get blamed for other people slack.
I hate it when I have to answer for other people slack.
I hate it when I don’t have any answer for other people slack.
I hate it when I have to own up for other people slack.
I absolutely hate it when there is no pleasing the client.
Life’s a bitch sometimes.

Oreo Wafer Sticks

oreo wafer sticks

Kraft has introduced a new Oreo Wafer Stick in Malaysia. Oreo Wafer Stick is a rectangular shaped wafer with chocolate coating that tastes like an Oreo Cookie. Each stick weighs about 18gm. You would like this new product if you are a great lover of Oreo Cookie like me. I reckon Oreo Wafer Stick will give Nestle Kit Kat a run for its money.

Ah Keong Workshop

Remember my car accident? Thanks to some extra cash, I have repaired my car yesterday. The repair cost was only RM 120.00. Toyota Service Centre quoted me RM 1,000.00 to replace a new bumper. What a world of difference! Take a look at the pictures below. Can you tell the difference? I didn't spray the entire bumper.

Nesvita Soya Bean Milk vs Soyrich Soy Milk with Soy Protein

nesvita soya bean milk

So Bonus Soya Bean Milk has changed its name to Nesvita Soya Bean Milk. Nesvita Soya Bean Milk is low in fat, cholesterol free and free from preservatives. Not only it is packed with the goodness of soya, it is also a good source of calcium.

Nesvita Soya Bean Milk tasted very light with just the right amount of sweetness. Due to the nature of the product, I could hardly taste the soya bean. I still prefer the fresh soya bean drink. It has more volume and it tastes natural.

soyrich soy milk

I doubt it is coincidental. Soyrich has also relaunched its soya bean drink. Soyrich is made from the finest quality of non-GMO (non-genetically modified) Canadian soy beans. Like Nesvita, Soyrich is also cholesterol free, lactose free, low in fat and preservative free. However, Soyrich's taste is slightly better compared with Nesvita. Don't get me wrong. It is still quite light compared to the fresh soya bean drink. Nothing can beat the original product I guess.

I am sorry for the blur image. Yeos definitely need to work on updating its web site. I couldn't find the new Soyrich on its web site.

Category Management Executive (Yeos)

Looks like Yeos was not successful in its previous recruitment exercise. This position is re-advertised on Jobstreet and The Star newspaper today. Check it out if you are keen to apply. Good luck.

Milo Fuze Mocha

milo fuze mocha milo fuze light

According to wikipedia, Café Mocha is a variant of Café Latte with a shot of chocolate added into the Latte drink. Now what was Nestle thinking when they decided to launch Milo Fuze Mocha? Unfortunately, Milo with Mocha is not a lovely combination. The drink was so thick. I wasn’t even sure if I was drinking chocolate or coffee. I got to admit I was a little disappointed with this new product.

House 303 Informed Consent

" You either help him live or you help him die, you can’t have it both ways”, Dr. House.

How would doctors react when they have been given consent to end an old patient’s life? Do they transform from a healer to a murderer? Of course, Dr. House had to find out the answer first by putting the patient into a coma. In the end, his curiosity still killed the cat.
