Ice Age 2

Like any other sequels, Ice Age 2 didn't really hit the mark for me. I guess I shouldn't have expected too much but I am always hopeful. Anyway, the original gang is back. Manny, Sid and Diego are back with another adventure. They need to escape the deluge of melted ice. They have to cross to the other side of the valley in search of a big bot created out of a very big tree. In between, Manny had to let go of his past in order to have a future, Sid gained his long over due respect as an equal member of the herd and Diego discovered that he could overcome his greatest fear of water. Important lessons in life of course but I doubt it rubbed off any of the children in the cinema.

I didn't enjoy the movie at all. Ice Age 2 delivers a more serious tone compared to its predecessor. Like I said in the beginning, good sequels are hard to come by. I guess the same applies to animations as well.

More Fuel

Petrol price has increased by 30 sen and everyone is feeling the pinch. I heard you can get more mileage using Petronas petrol. Since there is nothing to lose (except I heard acceleration power) and I stand to gain RealReward points, I have been using Petronas petrol for the past 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I am still getting the same mileage and my vehicle acceleration power is not affected at all. I will continue to try Petronas fuel for another 2 weeks. If I don't see any improvement, I am heading back to Shell. Hmm maybe it only works on old cars.

Kit Kat has this limited edition, Lemon Cheesecake flavour which is available in all major supermarkets from Feb to Aril 2006. The price was RM 1.25 and it tasted like Zip Orange. That is all I can say about this product.

New Nestle Inferno

"Now, here’s introducing an even bigger, better and “hotter” cone, Asia’s FIRST
innovation with a flame-shaped top and unique dome lid. Savour this delicious Pecan flavored ice cream topped with generous amount of almonds & chocolate sauce at an affordable price of RM2.50 only."

That is the tagline for the new Nestle Inferno. I tried this new Inferno last week for RM1.50 instead of the RSP of RM2.50. Thanks to the unique flame-shaped top and dome lid, I actually got more ice-cream out of Inferno compared to the other cone ice-creams. I definitely tasted the Pecan flavour. The ice cream is soft and smooth.

Look Ma No Hands

John said he would walk up to his kindy classroom by himself out of the blue this morning. I didn't take him seriously knowing how fickle minded he is. Since today is Friday, I took my own sweet time to reach the kindy. When we reached the kindy, Ethan shouted his name and John got a bit excited (Ethan is John's kindymate). He quickly took out his shoes and socks. Sensing the opportunity, I told him to follow Ethan upstairs. I was smiling from coast to coast. Finally, John has gone up to his classroom by himself after 2.5 months. I have been persuading him without much success thus far. You could imagine my elation.

Sob! sob! John is a big boy now.

Work work work

I hate the first week of every month. Work becomes very hectic and usually I don't have time for anything else. The mind goes on a constant rush and it hardly has time to settle down. It is like having this little engine running in my head and it won't go away. I need to unwind and the first thing that crossed my mind is Perth. Funny!
